The Charleston community was able to witness a total lunar eclipse along with the rest of the world, on Jan. 21. A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes into Earth’s shadow giving it a red or “bloody” color. Another total lunar eclipse will occur again in May of 2021.
