Senior shout outs: Phillip Caston
Teachers are given the opportunity to mention students that stood out to them during their time at Wando in the final issue of the academic year. Students chosen by Phillip Caston are as follows.

Yesmine Alston
She has one of the kindest hearts of all my students. Yesmine is a friend to all, a bright presence in the room, and a talented, award-winning photographer. She brings love to all of our staff.

Will Bumgarner
Will brings endless life and energy to yearbook, and he carries himself as a young man with integrity, respect, and leadership. He makes those who know him proud, and his future is bright.

Avery Collier
Avery will never let you down. She is dependable, supportive, and intelligent. She is an astounding photographer and a young woman with endless potential. She has made me proud.

Millar Elferdink
Millar strives to brighten people’s lives and comfort those who need it. She is a bright and caring young woman, and she actively works to make the world a better place for others. We’ll miss the heart she brought to our staff.

Nathan Fasanaro
Nathan is our yearbook “Golden Boy” for a reason; smart, hard-working, athletic, and a strong leader. But most of all, his kindness and respect for others makes him an incredible young man.

Jake Fetchen
Jake is a superb writer and journalist, but he’s also a young man who sets an example for others. I’ve been proud to watch him grow, and he has proven himself a leader in the classroom and on the football field.

Kamryn Frontz
Kamryn has a golden heart and is a model leader and student for others. She makes me laugh just about every day. And her array of talents have netted her multiple awards in yearbook in both writing and design. She is a superb young woman.

Legare Kerrison
Legare has one of the purest, most selfless hearts I’ve ever known, and she has been a phenomenal yearbook editor in chief. She constantly puts others before herself, and doing kind things for other people--great or small--drives her every day.

Lilly Lose
Along with her great photography talent, Lilly brightens our yearbook world every day. She is humble yet loaded with talent, and she has grown into a young woman who has made me so proud.

Katie Maxon
Katie has a superb eye for design and art, and she has remained a talented worker and leader. She excels across the school, and she brought new, fresh touches to our yearbook that we had not seen before.

Erin O’Leary
Erin is one of the strongest people I’ve ever known, and her work ethic is absolutely unwavering. Pushing for success and working non-stop drives her, and encourages others to do the same. She is an astounding leader and yearbook editor in chief.

Merritt Redden
Merritt is the All-Wando student; she excels in academics, leadership, talent, and taking care of other people. She has been our yearbook mom in more ways than one, and she is one of the most award-winning students in our history.

Gabi Reed
Gabi is an incredible leader in yearbook and on the swim team, and I truly will miss her (there, I admitted it, Gabi). Her talent is immense, and Gabi has the potential to be extremely successful in many arenas in the future.

Sydney Scoggins
Sydney brings happiness and joy to our yearbook staff, and she has worked to be a mentor to younger staff members. She is multi-talented, from design to dance, and she always wears a broad smile on her face.
