This year’s Spirit Week features an individual competition: if you dress up, you can receive a raffle ticket in your second block/period class. Put your name and grade on the back and you can place it in the bin outside the cafeteria for a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card or Friday’s big price of $50.
Dress-up days include the following:
Monday: Flannel Day
Tuesday: Tie-Dye Day.
Wednesday: Fan Day, where you can show off your favorite tv show, sports teams, musical, artist or movie by wearing any merchandise you have.
Thursday: Hawaiian Day
Friday: White-Out Day
For the hallway decorating, each club can decorate their hallway themed with a movie related to a movie. For example, the Mock Trial Club can decorate its hallway based on the movie Legally Blonde or the Bee Club like the movie The Bee Movie.
The girls’ and boys’ basketball teams will be playing Berkeley High School.
The nominees for this year’s Duke court are teachers Phillip Caston, Matt Taylor, Ian Banker and Gregory Deese. The Duchess court nominees include Caroline Campbell, Kailey Keels, Diane Krishon, Erin McGee and Olivia Thatcher.
One male and one female teacher will be given the title of the Duke or Duchess of Wando and will be announced at the pep rally.
