As the rally comes to an end, Mayor John Tecklenburg walks over to the crowd of teens to say, “Ya’ll are right. There is problem and it is a huge one. When I’m long gone, this generation will be left to fix this mess we have created. It makes me proud to see young people stand up for our earth and I just want to thank each and everyone of you for coming out here today.”
