Start – Bears receiver DJ Moore

When the Bears fired former offensive coordinator Shane Waldren, the offense was a mess. The routes were contradictory and the playcalling was too slow to develop for the Bears’ weak offensive line. So, when new offensive coordinator Thomas Brown was hired before last week’s game, he stated one goal for his vision of the offense: simplify everything for rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. Part of this simplification was involving DJ Moore. Moore received 8 touches against a good Packers defense. Expecting a similar workload this week against a worse defense, it should be safe to put Moore back in starting lineups.

Start – Chargers receiver Ladd McConkey

The Chargers rookie receiver out of Georgia has come into his own in recent weeks, quickly becoming quarterback Justin Herbert’s favorite target. He has surpassed 6 targets every week since week 3 and is coming off a monster game against the Bengals last week. His opponent this week should be the recipe for another huge game.  This week, the Chargers face one of the highest-scoring offenses and most susceptible defenses in the league in Baltimore. This should translate into a high-usage game for the Chargers’ passing attack, creating opportunities for McConkey.

Start Raiders tight end Brock Bowers

Brock Bowers has been the only source of consistent offense for the Raiders this season. This is a huge part of what fantasy football is all about, finding players who produce for teams with terrible offenses. This is exactly the case for the Raiders’ tight end. Bowers has up great numbers with mediocre quarterback play. With a passing offense that ranks 18th and is 29th overall as a unit, it is interesting to see the best at a position in an offense that is not producing many points or yards. Bowers has produced either yards or touchdowns in every game since week 4 against the Browns. Although this week I feel like Vance Joseph has a game plan to combat Brock Bowers the second time around, to me though, it still won’t get the job done.

Sit – Chargers running back JK Dobbins

Dobbins has been one of the biggest surprises of this season, getting consistent carries in a crowded backfield. However, he has been inconsistent when facing actual potent defenses. His production solely relies on the flow of the Chargers offense any given game, since he provides little value in the passing attack.  As I said for Ladd McConkey, the Chargers should rely heavily on the passing of Justin Herbert, and leave Dobbins with little production.

Sit – Texans receiver Tank Dell

Tank Dell is my sit this week, this might seem insane considering how bad Tennessee has looked as a team, but what you might not know is that their pass defense has been the biggest bright spot in a gloomy first year for former Cincinnati offensive coordinator Brian Callahan. The Titans have been great against the pass despite being beaten down by many teams this year.  A lot of the reason for this is a great defensive unit coached by first-year defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson, a former defensive backs coach for 12 years in the NFL. With a league-best pass defense this sit pick is justified, the only issue for Tennessee is to keep touchdowns out of the hands of Tank Dell and be much stronger back against the red zone. Tennessee gives a touchdown 64.3% of the time their opponents reach the red zone but as long as the damage is minimal the decision should hold up firmly.

Sit – Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson

Last week was Richardson’s first since being benched in favor of veteran backup Joe Flacco, and he shined. Richardson produced 3 total touchdowns and his best statistical output in a bounce-back win against the Jets. This week, however, Richardson is under very different circumstances. The Jets, however talented they may or may not be, are a bad team in every aspect of the game. The opposite can be said for the Lions, who are on an otherworldly tear through the NFL. This could be another rough showing for Richardson against a tough Lions defense.

Cardinals over Seahawks

For this week, I’ve decided to go with the Seattle Seahawks upsetting the Arizona Cardinals in Seattle. The Seahawks are looking to pick up where they left off, returning from a win against the San Francisco 49ers. On the offensive side of the ball for Seattle, starting Quarterback, Geno Smith, is in the top 10 most passing yards this season, sitting in the number 4 spot. Not only that, but Jaxon Smith-Nijgba is coming off of a good game against San Francisco, with 110 receiving yards on 10 receptions. If Smith can keep up the good connection with his receivers and lead them to the end zone, then they can put up a solid showing for the win against Arizona this coming Sunday. – Isaiah, 2 – 3

Bears over Vikings

My reasoning for the Bears over the Vikings: Despite a lot of talk during the week of the offense struggles under former offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and how their response was going to be against Green Bay, the Bears performed much better under new offensive coordinator Thomas Brown in Week 11, including a big fourth down and two conversions in Packers territory to extend a drive. Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams is coming into his own as the guy in Chicago and Ebeflus should be able to contain the Vikings with his defensive mind. I expect a low-scoring game here with Bears Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator Matt Eberflus and Vikings Defensive Coordinator Brian Flores on their A games Sunday. I do like the upset pick for a few reasons (1) The offense is functioning much smoother, (2) A home record of 4-2 this season, (3) The Vikings have given up the 6 most sacks on offense (4) Darnold has cooled off a ton since his team’s 5-0 start to begin the season. Score: 26-23. – Wes, 4-0
