Q & A: Amy Lobo

What has been the highlight of your high school career? After assuming the position as a flight commander after previously being on group staff, I had a chance to work closer with the freshmen in JROTC which gave me the opportunity to share with them what I have learned being in the program while continuing to grow as a leader myself.

What do you think you’ll be remembered for after high school? I think I would be remembered for my dedication towards the freshmen JROTC flight as I worked countless days to try and improve each and every individual cadet.

What are your plans for the future? I’ll be attending The Citadel on a full ride with a four-year Army ROTC scholarship. I’ll be majoring in psychology. After graduating from The Citadel, I will commission in the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant.

If you could give advice to any freshman coming into high school what would that piece of advice be? If I could give the incoming freshmen advice, it would be to make high school as fun as it possibly can be while working hard to maintain high grades. I would also tell them to get involved in some sort of club, as being in that second family environment is what makes everything all worth it.
