Start – Seahawks Running Back Kenneth Walker

For the second time this season, Kenneth Walker is an unequivocal start this week, and so is his backup Zach Charbonet. Their matchup against the Commanders is a running backs dream, as they are coming off a game against a bad Chiefs rushing offense allowing 148 yards. Another positive sign is that the Commanders are coming off a Monday night game with short rest and a backup quarterback, whereas the Seahawks are coming off their week off. All of these things point to a strong Seahawks win where they run the ball to keep the clock moving, perfect for Walker, who has struggled to find targets.

Sit – Vikings Running Back Aaron Jones

This is a sneaky cut candidate. Coming off IR last week, his output was uninspiring, however that’s fair for a player who had been sitting since week 1 before that. However, in his absence, backup Jordan Mason has been filling the role of between the tackles back that Jones dominated last year. Without those carries, and on a team in a quarterback quandary, Jones’s time as a fantasy starter may be over.

Start – Dolphins Wide Reciever Jaylen Waddle

This is a decently risky play, as Waddle catches passes from one of the most inconsistent players in the league. However, this matchup is just too good to pass up. His aforementioned quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is playing with fire at this point in the season, as he is one bad game away from his season, and possibly his career in Miami, being ended. Waddle is the only special player on the outside for this Miami team with mounting injuries, so his targets should be huge. That’s not the only positive for Waddle, as the Ravens defense he’s up against this week is terrible. Look for a good week for the star receiver, in what could possibly be one of his last games in Miami.

Sit – Saints Wide Reciever Chris Olave

Olave has been a target magnet this season while playing with quarterback Spencer Rattler, trailing only Bengals receiver Jamar Chase in the stat. Despite that, he is only the wide receiver 9 on the season and the Saints are making a quarterback change. Unless new quarterback Tyler Shough pepper Olave like Rattler did, he could lose his fantasy viability entirely. Against a good Rams secondary off a bye, this could get ugly for Olave and the team as a whole.

Upset Alert – Falcons over Patriots

The Patriots are near touchdown favorites over a Falcons team that just last week looked like a playoff team. That’s before they got walloped by the laughing stock of the NFL last week, the Miami Dolphins 34-10. Now, everyone is out on Atlanta after that, however there’s reason to think that the playoff team is still in there. First, last week was played without starting quarterback Michael Penix and wide receiver Drake London, both should be back this week. Second, the Falcons have been good against the good teams, highlighted by a dominant prime time win over the Bills. The only snag for the Falcons is their opposition and more specifically their oppositions run defense has been dominant as of late, which could be a problem for star back Bijan Robinson.
