After the recent stepping down of former head football coach Rocco Adrian, the school has officially announced his replacement. Stratford High School’s previous offensive coordinator, Isaiah Perrin, is now projected to lead Warrior football into a new era.
The native South Carolinian began playing football when he was younger, and after the passing of his father during his freshman year of high school, he decided to become serious about the sport. With the help and guidance of his mentor, Perrin was able to continue playing football in college.
After college, he started his career as a football coach, hoping to guide others like his own mentor did. Perrin has coached offense at multiple schools across the state, including the recent region champions, Stratford High School, and he hopes to lead Wando in the same way.
Perrin’s main goal is to form a relationship with both his players and the community. Having witnessed Wando’s passion for academics and athletics, Perrin wants to hold his players to the same standard.
He also wished to establish excellence as the standard and both physical and mental toughness in his players.
“This isn’t about me, this is about them,” Perrin said, “We are going to attack every day, just trying to get 1% better [each day]”.
