To the hypocrite in America,
To the ones who preach “freedom of speech” and dismiss the voices of others.
To the Good Samaritans who say “love thy neighbor”, unless they are from Mexico.
To the politicians with the slogan “make America great again”, ripping apart natural spaces for a profit.
To those who ask “what would Jesus do”, then take from the poor to give to the rich.
To the men who claim that they will protect America’s children, but then stand idly by while we are gunned down in our classrooms.
To those who beg for an end to gun violence, then celebrate when a man (a husband, a father) is murdered.
To the hypocrite in America, I wonder:
When will it all come crashing down? When will all our lies and false ideals unravel?
To the hypocrite in America, I say:
Words will always be meaningless without actions to back them.
