“Quantico” is a Captivating Crime Caper

Samantha Winn, Co-Writing Editor

The last thing anyone would think of when they think of the FBI is an insider attacking United States soil. Seem far-fetched? Not in the ABC hit drama, “Quantico.”

New recruit Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra) enlists to go to Quantico, an FBI training center outside of Washington DC. Flash forward 9 months, and Alex is found barely alive stranded in the rubble of Grand Central Station by the largest terrorist attack since 9/11.

By the time Alex has come back to the FBI for questioning, they suspect her and all of her classmates at Quantico as the masterminds behind the attack.

The show bounces back and forth between their training at Quantico and the unfolding terrorist plot. As the season progresses we learn more about the classmates and why they could be behind the attacks. Shelby Wyatt (Johanna Brady), Ryan Booth (Jake Mclaughlin) are just a few of the stand-out characters mentioned.

At the end of the season, the audience does find out who the terrorist is, but that would ruin the whole season. It’s quite shocking to see who it actually is (spoiler alerts!).

So let’s just say the whole season is captivating, binge-worthy, and overall thought-provoking. Having the plot center around acts of terrorism in the most unlikely of circumstances makes watching the show unique, especially compared to other television dramas.

If high-profile investigation shows are your thing, go ahead and start watching the first season on Netflix. You won’t be disappointed, and I’m excited to see how the plot thickens going into season two.
Season Two of Quantico will premiere on ABC on Sept. 25 at 10 pm EST.
