The 2nd Annual Wandothon will take place on Feb. 2 from 2 to 8 p.m in Wando’s gym.

Wandothon is an eight-hour dance marathon — although you do not have to dance the whole time — to raise money for the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, which is expected to be completed in 2019.

A live band, DJ and Zumba instructor will be present, as well as children who have been in the hospital or are currently in the hospital.

“It’s a great way to get community service hours…and it’s a really cool thing to see the impact we get to have on our local community because there are so many kids in children’s hospitals struggling and we are very fortunate to not have to go through that,” Student Body President Pete Jonas said.

To participate in this event, you must register at wandothon.weebly.com and raise a minimum of $62, since 62 children are admitted to a Children’s Miracle Network hospital every minute.
Over $25,000 was raised last year, but the goal this year is $40,000.
Over 150 people have already registered for Wandothon.
