Veterans Day. The day when in 1918, at the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, the world celebrated the end of World War I. The war to end all wars.

Last Friday at the Wando flagpole there was a ceremony to honor U.S. veterans; both past and present, living and fallen.

A flag folding ceremony took place when a veteran spoke and accepted a wreath for fallen soldiers. Wando’s Air Force JROTC coordinated the event and spoke about the honor and integrity of the veterans of today and of the past.
