Wando’s Girls Varsity Tennis team was knocked out of the state playoffs in the third round by Dutch Fork, in the lower state qualifying match on Nov. 9.

The Warriors had won both their region and their first two rounds of the playoff, but were defeated 4-2 at a the home match.

“I think we were prepared, we just got beat by a better team,” said Coach Eric Praedel.

The team went undefeated in the regular season, but unfortunately fell short on their road to the state championship.

This loss marked the end of the tennis season.
