Coop’s winners and losers- Week 2

Winner- Georgia: With their 41-17 win over South Carolina, Georgia proved that they could go into a hostile environment on a hot day in September and dominate. Their defense looked world class and Jake Fromm is improving steadily and their running game is looking good. Georgia is shaping up to be a team that can challenge for the SEC title and return to the National Championship

Winner- Kentucky: Before last Saturday Kentucky’s last win over Florida happened on my birthday, 14 years before I was born; thats right Kentucky had not beaten Florida since November 15 1986. So when Kentucky ended the streak by beating Florida for the first time in 31 years, they earned a spot on my list.

Winner- Penn State: After a scary week one performance against Appalachian State, the Lions responded with a convincing 51-6 win over Pitt. With that performance, Penn State is back into the BIG 10 conversation and ready to compete with teams like Ohio State and Wisconsin.

Loser- Michigan State: The Spartans did not look good in their 13-16 loss to unranked Arizona State Saturday night. In the cutthroat BIG 10 they will have to improve if they want to compete with the other teams in the conference

Loser- Florida State: The Seminoles could only manage a 36-26 win over division two Samford, and after getting blown out by Virginia Tech in week one, things are getting worse not better for the Seminoles. Willie Taggart needs to stabilize his team quickly or a #bringbackjimbo hashtag will start pretty soon.
