South Carolina All-State is a state-level honor that works to recognize students excelling in specific extracurricular areas. Chorus students audition to be a part of a state-level ensemble and get the chance to work with other students from across the state, along with professionals in the field. This week, a grand total of 41 Wando students were chosen for 2026 SC All-State Chorus.
Students auditioning have to perform a cut of music that they have never seen before with precision, otherwise known as sight-reading, in order to be accepted. Within the 41 students chosen, 14 of them received a perfect score on their sight-reading audition, five of which scored in the state-wide top 10.
